About the Program
Since 1936, the Will Rogers Institute has funded research and education in cardio-pulmonary medicine. Currently, WRI partners with medical schools and hospitals around the United States on training and research projects. In recent years, WRI developed a new program to fund life-saving equipment in hospitals providing critical care to premature infants nationwide.
The mission of the neonatal equipment program is to help the many hospitals across the United States in need of additional or updated ventilator equipment and critical care pulmonary services. Last year, the Will Rogers Institute committed more than $500,000 in grants for life-saving pulmonary equipment. The funds are providing much needed equipment such as critical airway carts, Neopuff™ infant resuscitators, incubators, inhaled nitric oxide therapy technology and Omni Beds.
